Bielefeld sightseeing

The new station quarter
You can spend your entire evening in the new station quarter. It is next to the main station of Bielefeld. Here you can find the largest cinema of Ostwestfalen Lippe - the Cinemaxx with 2648 seats. Here are also a few bars and restaurants, where you can enjoy various delicacies. Furthermore, there is the adventure pool Ishara, which offers fun for the whole family. The Sparrenburg
The fortress Sparrenburg, which is the symbol of Bielefeld, is situated in the city's district “Mitte”, right in the Teutoburg Forest. The castle with its 37 meter tall tower was built in 1250 and served as the seat of the Count of Ravensburg to protect the city, which was built in 1200. It is about 60m above the city, so that you can get a fantastic view over Bielefeld.
